Kashi, also known as Varanasi, is the eternal city of religion, spirituality, and sacred knowledge. Situated on the holy banks of Maa Ganga, Kashi occupies a supreme and unparalleled position in Vedic religion—Sanatan Dharma (Hinduism). Since ancient times, Kashi has been revered as a global center of Vedic science, spiritual learning, philosophy, and cultural traditions, earning its place as the cultural capital of India. For seekers of truth, liberation (Moksha), and divine knowledge, Kashi has remained a beacon of faith and enlightenment, attracting millions of devotees, saints, scholars, and tourists from across the world.


Gangotri Seva Samiti is a selfless, non-profit, and service-oriented organization dedicated to the protection of spirituality, religion, environment, and the sacred Ghats (river banks) of Kashi (Varanasi).

The Samiti is a registered organization under the Uttar Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 1960, and has been continuously serving society for over Three decades. Since its inception, the Samiti has remained devoted to the purification of the River Ganga, environmental conservation, and public awareness programs aimed at world peace and spiritual harmony
